Project PACS
Professionals in Action for Crisis Situations
Our school is proud to be a partner of the PACS project (Professionals in Action for Crisis Situations), a strategic partnership within the framework of Erasmus+, co-funded by the European Union. The project brings together partners from Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary to develop and deliver an integrated crisis management course.
The aim of the project is to develop and deliver an integrated crisis management course that combines theory and practical exercises to prepare participants for a wide range of emergency situations. The course is divided into six modules:
Project Focus Areas
- Natural disaster preparedness – including mountain and flood rescue techniques
- Aquatic crisis response – survival and rescue at sea
- UAV operations in crisis management – using drones for search, rescue, and hazard monitoring
- Mountain crisis survival – shelter building, orientation, and emergency first aid
- Conflict and war survival skills – personal protection, evacuation, and camouflage.
- Managing societal crises – strategies for pandemics, economic instability, and political unrest
Miskolci SZC Kandó Kálmán Informatikai Technikum’s contribution focuses on flood preparedness, the use of drones in cities and industry, and digital resilience in societal crises.
Through PACS, our school’s cadets, instructors and volunteers will gain valuable knowledge, skills and practical experience to respond effectively in difficult situations — making our communities safer and more resilient.
